Beacon Recreation is excited to offer Dutchess County Residents free swim classes at the Beacon Pool. All Classes are American Red Cross Learn to Swim Level I & Level II. Class size is very limited. Please only enroll if you intend to attend all classes. Each child will only be able to participate in one session of lessons.
  • Registration for Swim Classes is available on June 17th at 10am
This Program runs either Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Fridays for two weeks (4 classes) throughout the summer. Classes are approximately 25 minutes in length and will focus on safety, fun, and swimming fundamentals.

These classes are for participants new to swimming with an emphasis on gaining confidence and learning how to be safe around water.

Caregivers of children ages 3 and older should plan on remaining present in the Beacon Pool picnic area for the duration of the lesson. Participants enrolling children ages 6 months to 3 years will be getting into the water with their children!

Please note, these classes are free and available to all DUTCHESS COUNTY residents and funded in part by NYS OCFS and Dutchess County DCFS Division of Youth Services.
