Beacon Pool Swim Academy- Summer 2026
Beacon Recreation is excited to offer Dutchess County Residents free Learn to Swim classes at the Beacon Pool. All Classes are American Red Cross Learn to Swim Level I & Level II. Class size is very limited. Please only enroll if you intend to attend all classes. Each child will be able to participate in only one lesson session.
This Program runs in one week sessions Tuesday through Friday, (4 classes) throughout the summer. Classes are approximately 25 minutes in length and will focus on safety, fun, and swimming fundamentals.
These classes are for participants new to swimming with an emphasis on gaining confidence and learning how to be safe around water.
Caregivers of children ages 3 and older should plan on remaining present in the Beacon Pool picnic area for the duration of the lesson. Participants enrolling children ages 6 months to 3 years will be getting into the water with their children!
Please note, these classes are free and available to all DUTCHESS COUNTY residents and funded in part by NYS OCFS and Dutchess County DCFS Division of Youth Services.
